Bed + docking toilet unit

A large bed that moves to a sitting position. Sections open so a stable toilet unit can dock underneath, cover the area, wash, and dry. The bed then returns to a flat sleeping position.

Person-centred considerations

The aim is to protect comfort and privacy by reducing transfers. The person remains in a familiar place throughout the process.

Open questions

Further exploration of mechanical reliability, seal integrity, drying comfort, and user acceptance of an integrated bed-toilet system.
